Course Description
HVAC systems, which stand for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, are designed to regulate indoor environmental conditions to ensure comfort, safety, and air quality. These systems maintain appropriate temperature levels, manage humidity, and ensure adequate airflow throughout buildings. In residential environments, HVAC systems primarily focus on thermal comfort. In commercial and industrial environments, however, HVAC systems must also maintain strict environmental conditions to support operations. For example, hospitals require precise temperature and humidity control to maintain sterile environments, while data centers require controlled cooling to prevent overheating of sensitive equipment. Because these systems must operate continuously and adapt to changing environmental conditions, they rely heavily on sensors and control systems to monitor and regulate their performance.
