Course Description
Industrial decarbonization refers to the process of reducing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions generated by industrial activities. Globally, the industrial sector is responsible for approximately one-quarter to one-third of total emissions, making it a critical area for intervention. These emissions arise not only from energy consumption but also from inherent chemical processes within industries such as cement and steel production. Achieving meaningful reductions requires a systemic transformation that integrates technological innovation, policy support, and behavioral change.
