Power Cable Manufacturing
Course Description
Power cables are specially designed electrical conductors used for transmitting electrical energy between different parts of a power system. These cables are designed to safely carry electrical current while preventing energy loss and protecting users from electrical hazards. In modern electrical infrastructure, power cables are widely used in underground distribution networks, industrial facilities, renewable energy systems, transportation systems, and building wiring. Unlike overhead transmission lines, power cables are insulated and protected to allow safe installation underground, underwater, or inside structures. This makes them particularly important in urban environments where overhead lines may not be practical. The design of power cables must account for many factors, including electrical load, operating voltage, environmental exposure, mechanical stress, and expected service life. Therefore, the manufacturing process must be carefully controlled to ensure that each cable meets strict performance and safety requirements.
